This article explains the features available when deploying the UFiber WiFi ONU (UF-WIFI).
NOTES & REQUIREMENTS:
Applicable to the v4.0.0+ UFiber firmware releases on the UFiber OLT models. The UFiber WiFi ONU is supported in the OLT configuration starting from the v3.1.0 OLT firmware release. Router Mode support for the ONU is available starting from the v3.1.2 firmware. Please see our Related Articles for more information.
The UFiber WiFi ONU
The UFiber WiFi ONU (UF-WIFI) is able to provide both wired and wireless connectivity to connected clients. The ONU supports four GigabitEthernet RJ45 ports for wired connectivity and provides wireless connectivity using the 802.11n standard.
ATTENTION: The UFiber WiFi ONU is supported in the OLT configuration starting from the v3.1.0 OLT firmware release.
The UFiber OLT configures the bridged mode and the wireless configuration options on the UFiber WiFi ONU.
Many different devices can be connected to an ONU to provide connectivity and features for users. See the Getting Started article for more details.
In the example setup above, the UF-WIFI will be used to provide both wired and wireless connectivity to several clients. The OLT will be used to configure the Bridged mode and provides the wireless SSID options to the ONU. See the ONU Router Mode article for more information on how to configure the Router mode instead. Follow the steps below to modify the ONU settings using the OLT Web UI:
