Adding the EdgeSwitch to UNMS

The first step is to log into UNMS server and obtain the UNMS key.

GUI: Access the UNMS Controller Web Portal.
|
1. Navigate to the connection Settings
to obtain the UNMS key.
Settings > Connection > Copy UNMS key
2. Copy the entire key to the clipboard, an example key value is:
wss://unms.ubnt.local:443+aBcDeFgHaBcDeFgH+allowSelfSignedCertificate

GUI: Access the EdgeSwitch Web UI.

1. Navigate to the Settings
to add the UNMS key to the EdgeSwitch.
Settngs > Services > UNMS
2. Change the slider from Disabled to Enabled and paste in the key.

3. Apply the changes.
4. Upon successful connection, the UNMS status icon in the top-right of the web UI will change from
Disabled to
Connected.

GUI: Access the UNMS Controller Web Portal.
|
1. Log back into the UNMS server.
2. Navigate to the Devices
to authorize the switch and add it to a site.
Removing the EdgeSwitch from UNMS
If the EdgeSwitch needs to be disassociated with the UNMS server, follow the steps below.

GUI: Access the EdgeSwitch Web UI.
|
1. Navigate to the Settings
to the disable the UNMS service.
Settngs > Services > UNMS
2. Change the slider from Enabled to Disabled.
3. Apply the changes.

GUI: Access the UNMS Controller Web Portal.
|
1. Log back into the UNMS server.
2. Navigate to the Devices
to delete the switch from UNMS.
