EdgeSwitch - Device LED Statuses


Overview


This document explains the operational state of an EdgeSwitch based on the System LED status.

NOTES & REQUIREMENTS: 
This article applies to all EdgeSwitch models, with the exception of:
  • ES-5XP
  • ES-8XP
  • ES-16XP
The LED statuses will display when using the latest bootloader version, which is bundled with the v1.8.0 EdgeSwitch firmware.

ATTENTION: These new system LED patterns only apply when using the latest bootloader version. If upgrading from an EdgeSwitch version before v1.8.0, a second reboot is needed to allow the new bootloader to become active.

As of firmware version v1.8.0, the device status LEDs have been improved to provide a more clearly defined state of the device. See the tables below for the description and meaning of the different system and port LED patterns.

The table below does not apply to the following EdgeSwitch models:

  • ES-5XP
  • ES-8XP
  • ES-16XP

Power On Reset

Hold reset button for 15 seconds while plugging in the power cord to perform a Factory Reset. Flashes blue for 2 seconds

Runtime Reset 

Hold reset button for 15 seconds while device is powered on to perform a Factory Reset. Flashes blue for 2 seconds
