UFiber GPON - How to Configure Port Forwarding

Overview


This guide will outline the steps for enabling port forwarding for an ONU in Router Mode.

NOTES & REQUIREMENTS:
This article applies to the following firmware and devices.
Firmware:
OLT 1.2.1
ONU 2.1.1 
 
Devices used in this article:
  • UF-OLT, OLT4
  • UF-NanoG, UF-Loco

In OLT firmware 1.2.1 and ONU firmware 2.1.1 a port-forwarding feature for ONUs in Router mode has been added. This allows the option to easily add remote access to a device behind the ONU when on a remote network.

Configure Port Forward Rule

ATTENTION: ONU must be set with a profile that has Router Mode enabled for the port forward option to show.

1. Configure Port Forward Rule

GUI: Access the OLT Graphical User Interface (GUI).

ONU List > Actions > Config > Port Forwarding

Enable: checked
WAN Port: 8443
Protocol: Both
LAN address: 192.168.22.11
LAN port: 443
Comment: WebServer

Traffic destined for 203.0.113.12:8443 forwards to the Internal WebServer at 192.168.22.11:443.
