airControl - How to Increase JVM Memory Allocation

The airControl software runs on a Java Virtual Machine (JVM), which can be installed on any operating system that supports Java 8 or newer. The airControl service requires at least 2GB of allocated memory size to run installations for networks of up to 500 devices and might require a larger memory depending on device count. However, the default allocated memory size is 2GB.

To change memory allocation:

1. Open the <airControl directory>/airControl2Server.vmoptions file in a text editor of your choice.

2. change the -Xmx2048m option to a suitable amount. For example to -Xmx4096m for 4GB of allocated memory.

3. Save the file and restart airControl.

Find more information about airControl configuration in the airControl User Guide.
