EdgeRouter - Create a bridge

To create a bridge between two interfaces:

  1. Create a bridge-group.
  2. Assign interfaces to the bridge-group.

Note: software bridging is NOT offloaded and therefore will cause a performance hit. If you have the ER-X or ER-Poe-5 you can use the built in hardware switch.

Use the following commands:

set interfaces bridge br0
set interfaces ethernet eth1 bridge-group bridge br0
set interfaces ethernet eth2 bridge-group bridge br0

To display status information for the bridge, use the following commands:

ubnt@ubnt:~$ show interfaces bridge
Codes: S - State, L - Link, u - Up, D - Down, A - Admin Down
