Whether you’re analyzing the data reported by the controller, the status of your UAPs, or need to troubleshoot the UniFi system with more precision, it’s often helpful to change the UniFi controller's refresh frequency. Users can select between 15 second, 1 minute, 2 minute or 5 minutes update intervals, depending on their need. Or can all together eliminate automatic refreshing, by selecting "Never" and only refreshing the controller when necessary.
Starting in 5.6.X the manual refresh button that was in the top of the controller is hidden by default, but you can easily enable it in Preferences.
Note: Images used below are for UniFi Controller version 5.6.22.
1. To set an automatic refresh frequency or to enable the manual refresh button, click on the username on the upper-right hand corner, and select Preferences.
2. In the Properties window you can enable the Refresh button, and also select the Refresh rate interval that best suits your needs. If you wish to only refresh the controller manually, select Never and use the refresh button you just enabled.
