What do the LED patterns on AF24 unit mean?


The AF24 unit displays information for the radio operator helpful in alignment and troubleshooting an link. The table below explains the meaning for each LED pattern. Use the following image as reference.

  • Number - Decodable RX Signal
  • Flashing Number - Undecodable RX Signal
  • "oL" - Overload Condition (too strong of signal; suggestion is to lower TX power)

Modulation

  • Long* - 6x (64QAM MIMO)

RF Link Status

  • Off - RF Offline (The radio is not communicating with any other stations)
  • Short* - Syncing (The radio is syncing with the GPS hardware)
  • Normal* - Beaconing (The radio is looking for a slave radio to associate and begin communicating)
  • Long* - Registering (The radio is associating/initializing an RF Link with another radio)
  • On - Operational (The radio link is 'live' and radios may pass traffic over the wireless interface)

Short* = 1:3 on/off cycle

Normal* = 1:1 on/off cycle
