UniFi - What do the LED Color Patterns Represent for UniFi Devices?

Overview

Readers will learn to identify the different states for UniFi devices based on their status LED patterns.

Access Points, Security Gateways, Switches and Cloud Keys

Starting with Gen2 UAPs, we moved on to the Blue and White LED. USGs, UniFi Switches and Cloud Keys also use the same Blue and White LED patterns showcased in the table below. Legacy UAPs will have an Amber and Green LED on the front of the unit as seen in the Legacy section. Some products don't feature status LED patterns, such as the PoE Adapters.

White and Blue LEDs apply to:

Access Points UAP-PRO, UAP-Outdoor+, UAP-AC, UAP-AC-OD, UAP-IW, UAP-AC-LITE, UAP-AC-LR, UAP-AC-PRO, UAP-AC-HD, UAP-AC-EDU
Routing & Switching Cloud Key: UC-CK
Security Gateways: USG, USG-PRO-4
Switches: US‑24‑250W, US‑24‑500W, US‑48‑500W, US‑48‑750W, US‑24, US‑48, US‑8, US‑8‑60W, US‑8‑150W, US‑16‑150W, US‑16‑XG

PoE Adapters

The LED of the PoE Adapters are simple to interpret:

LED is Off - PoE is Off

LED is On and steady - PoE is functioning as it should

LED is blinking - this is not a configured state, this just might mean the device is not connected properly, or that something is wrong with the cable.
